HPV and Colposcopy
HPV is a viral infection that is chronic among patients with uterine cancer.
If your cytological report indicates anomalies or a need for further investigation Créa-MeD will provide you with a HPV screening. Should the infection be confirmed, a colposcopy appointment will be scheduled within 10 business days.
The sampling technique used in a HPV screening is the same as the one used when screening for uterine cancer (Pap test). In fact, a ‘’Pap test’’ can be carried out at the same time, should you require one.
If your ‘’Pap test’’ indicates a significant anomaly, our nursing staff will recommend you get screened for HPV without having to come back for a second sampling.
Our gynecological adviser can also schedule you for a colposcopy within 10 business days, should this be required. You won’t need to wait months to learn whether or not you have a cancer. Moreover, you will rapidly receive the highest quality care from the Créa-MeD’s Gynecological Department.
In the event of a chronic HPV infection, Créa-MeD can provide you with a HPV vaccine to boost your immune system.
